Chabad on Campus Leadership Attends White House Chanukah Reception

Rabbi Yossy Gordon, CEO of Chabad on Campus International, and Rabbi Avi Weinstein, COO, attended the official White House Chanukah reception, hosted by the President and First Lady of the United States.
The annual event brought together senior administration officials and prominent Jewish leaders from across the country.

During the reception, Rabbi Gordon and Rabbi Weinstein thanked administration officials for their public stance on protecting Jewish students and addressing Jew-hatred on college campuses, a critical priority for Chabad on Campus International, which supports 504 Chabad Houses serving more than 1,000 campuses worldwide.

“This administration’s commitment to ensuring that universities protect Jewish students sends an important message at a challenging moment for campus Jewish life,” Rabbi Gordon said. “As we light the Chanukah candles, we are reminded of the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s call to spread light over darkness and to ensure that every Jewish student can live proudly and safely as a Jew.”
