Yud Tes Kislev at Miami Beach

MIAMI BEACH, FL [CHI] — When the Alter Rebbe was freed from prison on Yud Tes Kislev over two hundred years ago who would ever have imagined that Torah and Chassidus would come to the shores of Miami Beach. A place that the stones and sand were ‘treif’, and many Jewish leaders said it could never happen; but it happened this year at the Captain Hyman Jewish Learning Center of Miami Beach, Florida.

Over four hundred people from near and far came for an awe inspiring farbrengen organized by Anshei Lubavitch of Greater Miami. The highlights of the evening were the moving address by the world-renowned speaker Rabbi Yosef Yitzcok Jacobson who captivated the audience with his mesmerizing message.

The international acclaimed cantor, Rabbi Simcha Helfgot, flew in special from Eretz Yisroel and enthralled the audience with soul-stirring niggunim from the Altar Rebbe.

Over fifty shluchim from all over South Florida also attended and continued the farbrengen until five in the morning.
