BDE: Aaron Leib HaKohen Duchan, 77, OBM
We great sadness we report the passing of Reb Aaron Leib HaKohen Duchan OBM, an active member of the Cincinnati Chabad community who moved to Israel. He passed away this Shabbos, ט’ כסלו, in Israel.
He was 77 years old.
Originally from Oak Park, Michigan, he later moved to Israel. Rabbi Duchan was an active member of the Chabad community in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he was predeceased by his wife Rachel ז״ל.
He is survived by his children; Michael Duchan (Midwood, NY), Mrs. Chani Ozeri (Cedarhurst, NY), Mrs. Chaya Sara Smadja (Herzliya, Israel), Mrs. Shani Jungreiz (Kensington, NY), Mrs. Naomi Elbaz (St. Brice, France), Mrs. Maryasha Djian (Crown Heights, NY), Yaakov Duchan (Crown Heights, NY), Mendy Duchan (Tel Aviv, Israel), Mrs. Rachel Djian (Groslay, France), as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his siblings: Barbara Stoffer (Oak Park, MI), and Bruce Duchan (Oak Park, MI).
The levaya will take place Sunday, י’ כסלו, at the Netanya Cemetery.
The family will begin sitting shiva in Herzliya and will then continue in their respective homes.
