Farbrengen in a Box Empowers Children Worldwide to Lead Their Own Farbrengen

Before each major Chassidishe Yom Tov, eight-year-old Chaya Cunin of Pacific Palisades, CA, eagerly awaits the colorful box that arrives at her door. For Chaya and her siblings, each box transforms an ordinary evening into a meaningful Chassidishe Farbrengen that they lead themselves.

MyShliach, the community of young Shluchim around the world, created the innovative “Farbrengen in a Box” to empower children of Shluchim to connect with Chassidishe Yomim Tovim in hands-on, engaging ways.

For young Shluchim growing up far from Jewish communities and without access to a Chassidishe cheder, the program offers a vital way to celebrate the Chasidishe Yomim Tovim and make these special days their own. Now, this beloved program is opening its doors to all Anash families, giving every child the opportunity to lead their own farbrengen.

“For young Shluchim around the world, Farbrengen in a Box provides a vital connection to Chassidishe Yomim Tovim they might not otherwise experience,” says Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, Executive Director of Merkos 302. “It empowers families to create quality time centered around Chassidishe content, something every home can benefit from.

Throughout the year, children receive boxes before each major Chassidishe Yom Tov, with activities tailored to each celebration’s unique theme. Each box includes an interactive written farbrengen, story, and nigun, customized games, art projects, and prizes. From learning nigunim and their origins to playing games that teach Chassidishe minhagim, the boxes give children an authentic farbrengen experience wherever they find themselves.

“My younger children enjoy every part of the Farbrengen in a Box and are so inspired and excited to write a Pan to the Rebbe at the end of the farbrengen,” shared Mrs. Zisi Cunin, Shlucha in Pacific Palisades, CA.

The upcoming Yud Tes Kislev box features activities centered around the Chag HaGeulah. Children will learn about the Alter Rebbe’s liberation and engage in themed activities that bring the story to life, including a nigun, story, custom game, art project, and prizes.

After years of serving Shluchim families exclusively, the program is now available to all families due to popular demand. Orders for the upcoming cycle are now open, with early-bird pricing of $99.99 for all four boxes plus free shipping available until Monday.
