Rosh Chodesh Kislev in Lubavitcher Yeshiva

Rosh Chodesh Kislev, a chassidishe Yom Tov celebrated by Chassidim, came to life throughout Tomchei Temimim. From the youngest children to the bochurim, the yeshiva marked this special day of “Der Rebbe iz Gezunt” with learning, farbrengens, singing, and dancing.

In Early Head Start at both Remsen Village and Crown Street, the youngest children danced to niggunim, enjoyed a festive treat, and their joy captured the special day.

The preschool division held a lively and meaningful farbrengen. The children began with the 12 Pesukim and the Rosh Chodesh Kislev niggun, listened to the story of the day, and acted it out through movement and song.

The younger elementary grades experienced an unforgettable Rosh Chodesh Kislev celebration marking the Rebbe’s return to 770. After a powerful farbrengen, the boys sang and danced together with chayus, filling the room with simcha and excitement.

In Kitos Daled–Vov, talmidim heard first-hand accounts of the events of Rosh Chodesh Kislev, gaining a deeper appreciation of its significance. A new Mivtza was launched, encouraging talmidim to learn, understand, and teach the 12 Pesukim, empowering them to proudly share the Rebbe’s words.

The Mechina division marked the day with powerful and inspiring farbrengens.

Thursday night, Kita Ches gathered with their Menahel, Rabbi Mendel Scharf, and reviewed Megilas Rosh Chodesh Kislev, they farbrenged about their hiskashrus to the rebbe, and took practical hachlatos.

Friday morning, Kitos Zayin and Ches joined a meaningful farbrengen with Rabbi Dovid Kahanov, filled with pride in being temimim.

Across all divisions, every talmid, regardless of age, felt the chayus of Rosh Chodesh Kislev. The achdus, the chassidishe varemkeit, and the joy of the day were tangible throughout the yeshiva, making this yom tov truly special.
