A Global Revolution in Chinuch: Women in Chinuch Unite to Celebrate 50 Years of the Rebbe’s Mivtzah Chinuch
Hundreds of Mechanchos, and women in Chinuch, gathered Tuesday night, Chof Cheshvan, at the United Lubavitcher Yeshiva Hall, with over 2,000 more tuned in via livestream, for a powerful and uplifting Global Women’s Chinuch Event marking 50 years since the Rebbe launched Mivtzah Chinuch.
The beautifully designed hall, with elegant décor and a spirit of unity, reflected the significance of the milestone. Hosted by the Merkos Chinuch Office, the evening was a celebration of the Rebbe’s call to strengthen and illuminate Chinuch with passion, clarity, and purpose, focusing on the Twelve Pesukim, the Rebbe’s unique language of Chinuch, and the foundation of Chabad education worldwide.
Fifty years of Chinuch and the Twelve Pesukim deserve the full attention, reflection, and renewal they inspire, a moment to pause and appreciate how deeply the Rebbe’s words have shaped generations of students, teachers, and parents.
Attendees heard from an inspiring lineup of speakers who brought the Rebbe’s Chinuch vision to life:
Rabbi Raleigh Resnick, Shliach of Tri-Valley in Pleasanton, CA, opened with a heartfelt message on how to empower our children the way the Rebbe would, by seeing each one as a neshamah filled with G-dly potential. He urged educators to look at every child through the Rebbe’s eyes, guiding them to uncover their own inner light, and to use the Rebbe’s Torah and outlook on life as a guide in every life scenario, shaping both how to teach and how to live.
Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, General Chairman of Merkos’s Chinuch Office, spoke with deep conviction about the vital importance of good Chinuch, stressing that strong, values-based education is the cornerstone of the Rebbe’s vision of Chinuch. He urged every educator to see themselves as nurturing and guiding the chassidim of the future, shaping generations through genuine connection and example.
Rabbi Hertzel Pewzner, on behalf of Sichos in English, delved into the depths of the Twelve Pesukim, explaining that they are not merely tools but the very essence of who we are. By using the Rebbe’s Chinuch language, we are expressing our core values and offering a clear path to help children internalize Torah as their own. His message highlighted how the Pesukim provide educators and parents with an authentic, Chassidishe framework for discipline, empowerment, and connection.
The evening also featured a stirring musical presentation, with students and teachers showcasing how the Twelve Pesukim can guide children through real-life challenges, connecting timeless Torah messages to today’s world.

Following the main program, participants divided into interactive workshops, launching the first in a new “Posuk Training Series”, a seven-part journey designed to bring each Posuk to life in practical, creative ways.
The series is being launched in collaboration with Tzivos Hashem, which is introducing new initiatives for students, while Merkos Chinuch Office focuses on empowering teachers, together creating a powerful movement for both educators and children alike.
Preschool–5th Grade educators moved to a separate room with Mrs. Shterna Rappaport, who shared engaging, hands-on strategies for bringing the Pesukim alive for young learners.
6th–12th Grade educators remained in the main hall with Mrs. Sara Blau, who offered powerful insights on making the Pesukim relevant and relatable for today’s teens.
Throughout the evening, the energy and Achdus in the room were palpable. The combination of elegant presentation, heartfelt inspiration, and practical takeaways left participants uplifted and recharged, ready to carry the Rebbe’s Chinuch vision forward.
As one Mechaneches put it, “It wasn’t just an event, it was the start of a movement. You could feel the Rebbe’s Chinuch alive in the room. I walked out deeply inspired. I never realized how much depth and guidance there is in the Twelve Pesukim, and how much we can truly learn from them in shaping our children and ourselves.”
