Oholei Torah Beis Medrash Experiences an Unforgettable Shabbaton
This past Shabbos, the entire Oholei Torah Beis Medrash – Shiur Aleph and Beis of the Michelashvili Beis Medrash and Shiur Daled of the Raitport Beis Medrash – gathered for an unforgettable Shabbaton at the scenic Bushkill Conference Center. From the very first moment, the atmosphere was alive with the unmistakable energy and chayus that define Oholei Torah.
Led by Rabbi Elchonon Lesches and Rabbi Nison Deitsch, together with devoted mashpi’im, maggidei shiur, and hanholo members, the talmidim experienced a Shabbos overflowing with inspiration, warmth, and true chassidishe spirit. Farbrengens continued late into the night, voices joined in heartfelt niggunim, and countless personal moments of growth and reflection took place throughout Shabbos.
Every detail was infused with care and meaning – from the welcoming Friday afternoon arrival, to the uplifting davening, seudos, and chassidisher farbrengens, to the spirited melave malka that brought the house alive with song and joy. The atmosphere captured the Oholei Torah spirit – pride, purpose, and a chassidisher drive to live the Rebbe’s vision every day.
Throughout Shabbos, the talmidim of both divisions participated in focused discussions, interactive shiurim, and farbrengens that encouraged real introspection and growth. Each bochur felt uplifted – not only by the learning and inspiration, but by the camaraderie and unity shared across the Beis Medrash. The synergy between the Shiurim created an atmosphere of true achdus and purpose.
As the buses pulled back into Crown Heights Motzei Shabbos, the talmidim carried with them more than memories; they brought back a renewed sense of mission, clarity, and connection to their learning and hiskashrus to the Rebbe.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Rabbi Yisroel Cohen for his tireless dedication in coordinating the event, as well as to Reb Moshe Reichman and the Kitchen Staff for their outstanding efforts in providing delicious and beautifully arranged meals throughout the Shabbaton. Appreciation as well to the Transportation and Service Departments for their smooth organization and teamwork, ensuring that every aspect of the trip ran efficiently and comfortably. The dedication and hands-on involvement of each person ensured that the Shabbaton was not only uplifting and well organized but deeply meaningful for every participant – leaving each talmid inspired and reenergized in his learning and chassidish growth.
A special acknowledgement as well to Rabbi Levi Rabin for his instrumental role in facilitating a smooth and memorable program, and to Chabad on Campus International for co-sponsoring the Shabbaton and helping bring this remarkable experience to life. Appreciation is also extended to Mendy Fisher for his excellent management of the Bushkill Conference Center and for ensuring every detail was handled with care and professionalism.
