First Ever ‘AI Day’ at the Kinus To Launch Revolutionary Tools for Shlichus and Hafotzas HaMayanos

For the first time, a full-day seminar at the Kinus Hashluchim aims to share AI’s superpowers with Shluchim, to ‘10x’ their productivity, reach, and impact of every Shliach. Industry experts, Shluchim, and Torah scholars will provide insight and resources — including the unveiling of revolutionary AI tools built for Shluchim by Shluchim.

AI is easy to use, it’s powerful, and it’s the future. But are we fully accessing its potential yet? The AI Day at this year’s Kinus looks to address that: to put the parts in motion and empower shluchim with the tools necessary to supercharge their use of AI in maximizing their shlichus.

“The seminar is catered to Shluchim at all levels of tech-savviness,” says Rayi Stern, VP of AI at Merkos 302, and coordinator of the event. “AI is such a new field that even the most advanced users still have what to learn, and the smallest stand to see huge gains. This is a new frontier for all of us.”

The goal of the organizers is to free up more time in the day of a Shliach, so that they can focus on what matters most: connecting Yidden and lighting up neshamos. The cost of using AI is negligible, while its impacts can be vast. These Kinus sessions will provide practical direction and lay the groundwork for a lasting collaborative forum where Shluchim can find tools and strategies, so no one’s in it alone.

Fully embracing the power of modern technology is not without precedent. The Rebbe emphasized the power of technology when used for kedushah, encouraging its use to spread Torah and mitzvos to the farthest corners of the world, even comparing technology to the embodiment of spirituality within physicality. Today, AI presents a new opportunity, responsibility, and obligation to fulfill that vision.

“Just as the Rebbe urged us to use every tool available to reach another Yid, today we must learn to harness AI for good,” says Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, Director of the International Kinus Hashluchim and Executive Director of Merkos 302. “With the right knowledge and access, this technology can help each Shliach reach farther and connect deeper, to ensure that no Yid is ever out of reach.”

Led by industry leaders and fellow Shluchim, the workshop will cover simple, practical ways to incorporate AI in their day-to-day Shlichus, in fundraising, teaching, logistics, and more. Participants will also explore the intersection of Torah and tech through the launch of the first AI + Chassidus application, and will hear firsthand AI success stories from Shluchim with real, actionable takeaways.

The sessions will tackle real-life applications, such as:
• How are other Shluchim already making use of AI every day?
• What are some creative ways that Shluchim have used AI to save time and costs?
• Enhancing fundraising activities via AI
• How to use AI responsibly around Torah and Judaism
• How can I use AI without compromising on hashkafah? What does Chassidus have to say about the ethics of AI?
• How can I start using AI now, without a learning curve?

Each session is designed to give Shluchim not just ideas, but tools they can incorporate right away. “Shluchim are busy people. A tool like AI should make their job easier and better: we want to serve up AI to Shluchim in a way that only assists and does not distract,” Rayi Stern adds.

The sessions will feature experts such as Mr. Boaz Descalo, a veteran tech leader whose focus is on cutting through the hype and operationalizing AI; AI pioneer and Torah scholar Prof. Moshe Koppel, is working with Chabad on the biggest breakthrough in hafatzas hamaayanos in recent years; a panel of fellow Shluchim discussing the dos and don’ts of AI; and Rabbi Simon Jacobson, who will explore the implications and aspirations we can look forward to as our world converges with this new reality.
