Fifty Years Since Mivtzah Chinuch, Educators Gather To Define Chabad Education
The Merkos Chinuch Office is thrilled to announce: registration for the Chinuch event of the year is now open! Marking 50 years since the Rebbe launched Mivtza Chinuch, its aim is to address the much-debated question: “Chabad Chinuch. What does that mean?”
The event will take place on Tuesday, כ’ חשון (November 11) at the United Lubavitcher Yeshiva Hall, 570 Crown Street, with virtual access available for out-of-town participants.
This milestone event will bring together female Chabad educators from across the globe for an inspiring evening of learning, connection, and celebration. Whether one is a veteran teacher, new to chinuch, or passionate about making a difference in Jewish education, the event is open to all educators seeking clarity and inspiration.
And there’s quite the lineup planned! Highlights will include:
– Rabbi Raleigh Resnick, shliach in Northern California, and founder & director of The Cheder of the Bay Area
– Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, General Chairman of the Merkos Chinuch Office
– Rabbi Hertzel Pewsner, mashpia at Tomchei Temimim of Morristown, NJ and author of The Basics of Chassidus and The Life of a Jewish Child
An original musical presentation, showcasing real encounters between teachers and students, a powerful tribute to the transformative impact a Chabad education can make.
The one-hour program will be followed by interactive workshops, delving into one of the core foundations of a Chabad Chinuch. They’ll be presented by Mrs. Sara Blau and Mrs. Shterna Rapaport, Education Directors of the Merkos Chinuch Office. Attendees will be split into two sessions: Preschool–Grade 5 in one room, and Grade 6 and up in the other. Virtual participants teaching Preschool–Grade 5 will remain on the main program link; those teaching Grade 6 and up will receive a separate link for their breakout session.
Here are the details again: Tuesday. כ’ חשון. November 11. United Lubavitcher Yeshiva Hall, 570 Crown Street.
