Fifth Year of Jumbo Sukkah Mobiles Brings Simchas Yom Tov to Thousands Across Manhattan

As Yidden around the world celebrated Sukkos 5786, three Jumbo Sukkah Mobiles once again rolled through the streets of Manhattan—offering thousands the opportunity to fulfill the mitzvos of Sukkos with joy and comfort.

Built by the Talmidim of Queens Yeshiva, the three massive sukkah-trucks, each spanning an impressive 215 square feet, represent the fifth year of this extraordinary project. The initiative began as a vision to make the mitzvah of sukkah more accessible for Jews on the go and has become a cherished Manhattan Sukkos tradition.

For weeks before Yom Tov, the students poured their efforts into constructing and decorating these vibrant sukkahs on wheels. Their dedication turned raw materials into inviting spaces where Jews from all walks of life could celebrate Simchas Yom Tov together.

Throughout the week, hundreds of passersby—local residents, office workers, tourists, and families on Chol Hamoed outings—paused to step inside, shake the lulav and esrog make a brachah, enjoy a bite, or join a Minyan Mincha

The project was coordinated with local Shluchim and supported by generous donors who doubled every contribution made through Charidy.com/Jumbo, sustaining this large-scale outreach effort.

Bringing Simchas Beis Hashoeva to the Neighborhoods:

For the third consecutive year, the sukkah trucks set out on Hoshana Rabbah night to bring a vibrant Simchas Beis Hashoeva on wheels to Jewish neighborhoods. The sukkah mobiles traveled to Flushing, Rego Park, Borough Park, Williamsburg, and their surrounding communities—spreading joy and lively
dancing with the crowd, fulfilling the Rebbe’s directive.

This year, over 5,000 Jews experienced this beautiful expression of Chassidic light and celebration. Coordinated with the Rebbe’s local Shluchim, the campaign empowered Jews from all backgrounds to connect with the joy of the holiday and hasten the coming of the true and complete Geulah.
