Weekly Chassidus Club Gives Young Shluchim a Personal Connection to Chai Elul and Tishrei

MyShliach’s Chassidus Club completed its first month with a powerful start centered on the Yomim Noraim, giving the global community of young Shluchim a meaningful way to connect to these days as a Chossid. The interactive weekly sessions have expanded and are now available for Yaldei Hashluchim in grades 1-6.

For young Shlucha Leah Silberberg from London, Ontario, Canada, living far from a Lubavitcher school means she often misses out on the kind of Chassidishe experiences many of her peers take for granted.

“It’s not often she gets to spend time with friends who truly understand her values and what it’s like growing up on Shlichus,” shares her mother, Mrs. Nechamie Silberberg. “But the Chassidus Club has been a game-changer. She counts down to Sundays.”

MyShliach’s Chassidus Club kicks off again, offering weekly sessions for young Shluchim, starting in 1st grade, who lack access to a local Lubavitcher school. The club provides a vital connection to Chassidishe values and friends, bringing together young Shluchim from around the world.

Each Sunday, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM EST, children log on for an immersive experience. The program begins with Hayom Yom and a Rebbe story, followed by interactive projects and games that bring Chassidishe concepts to life.

“We’re always thinking about how to make the material exciting and relevant for them,” explains Rabbi Dudi Ashkenazi, MyShliach Chassidus Club coordinator at Merkos 302. “Whether it’s a hands-on craft or a virtual farbrengen, we want the children to feel the warmth of Chassidus in a fun, engaging way.”

The club was originally born during the early days of the pandemic, when isolation made it harder than ever for young Shluchim to connect with their peers. What began as a temporary solution has since evolved into a weekly highlight for hundreds of children. The structured yet fun program creates a space for kids to make friends and experience Chassidishe education, no matter where they are in the world.

The Chassidus Club curriculum is dynamic and engaging, from learning about Chassidishe Yomim Tovim to hands-on projects like making ice cream in honor of Shavuos or crafting invisible ink to illustrate the mission of the Meraglim in Parshas Shelach. The program ensures that children not only learn about Chassidus but also experience it in a way that feels relevant to their everyday lives.
