New for Chai Elul: Seeing History and Headlines Through a Moshiach Lens

A stirring new episode of The Alef in Conversation podcast features a reflective and far-reaching conversation with Rabbi Yosef Katzman, exploring what it means to truly see the world, and ourselves, through the lens of Geulah.

Also known as The CableJew, Rabbi Katzman has been passionately teaching Torah and Chassidus for decades and was present for the major events by the Rebbe through the years.

Hosted by Rabbi Levik Gourarie, Director of The Alef (a project of the Moshiach Office at Merkos 302), this conversation digs deeper than concepts and classes; it touches on the inner tools to recognize the pulse of Geulah in real time.

The episode journeys through Rabbi Katzman’s personal experience growing up, raising children in Crown Heights during the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s, decades when the Rebbe’s call for Moshiach was redefining the identity of the Chassidim. “We breathed it,” he recalls. “We grew up with momentum. We got married. We raised children with it. It shaped our entire reality.”
