24 Hours Left! Go Over the Top with Aleph

A few weeks ago, Aleph received a handwritten letter from Joseph*, a 69-year-old man incarcerated in rural Nebraska.

“I am the only Jewish person in a facility of 1,400 inmates,” he wrote. Totally cut off from Jewish life and searching for meaning, Joseph found connection through Aleph. Our team provided Torah courses, holiday supplies, medical advocacy, and arranged regular visits from a local rabbi.

He told us: “My hunger and eagerness for more Jewish material grew stronger each day as I watched many of the videos from Aleph. [They] not only kept me focused on my Judaism but strengthened it—harder than concrete.”

He ended his note with words we’ll never forget: “I know Hashem has only the best planned for me. Each day is an opportunity for me to spread G-dliness in this place…”

This is exactly why Aleph exists: not just for Joseph, but for every “Joseph.”

For the Bar Mitzvah boy wrapping Tefillin, wishing his Tatty could be there.

For the single mother holding her family together while her husband sits behind bars.

For the soldier lighting Shabbos candles in the desert, with no minyan for miles.

Our beloved founder, Rabbi Sholom D. Lipskar a”h, taught us that true love for a soul means never stopping at “enough.” He built Aleph to go above and beyond—over the top—for every soul we encounter.

Now, with less than 24 hours left, we’re working to raise $1 million to carry that mission forward.

Every moment counts. Every dollar is doubled. And every soul we touch depends on it.
