New Center for Russia and FSU Community Rabbis Inaugurated in Moscow

In the heart of the Marina Roscha neighborhood in Moscow, near the headquarters of the Federation of Jewish Communities (FJC) and the offices of the ‘Or Avner’ Jewish educational network, a new center for the Russia and FSU Rabbis and Chabad emissaries — “Misrad Hashluchim” — was inaugurated earlier this week. The center was built with the goal of providing professional office services for the many community rabbis active in Russia and the FSU.

Participating in the mezuzah-affixing ceremony were the Chief Rabbi of Russia, Rabbi Berel Lazar; the CEO of the Federation of Jewish Communities, Rabbi Dovid Mondshine; and philanthropist Rabbi Yehuda Davidov, who is devoted and dedicated to the needs of the Jewish communities.

The new complex includes a luxurious lounge with rest and seating areas, fully equipped workstations, a conference room, a children’s corner, computers for online learning for the rabbis’ children, a luxurious guest apartment, and a coffee bar with hot and cold drinks.

This initiative constitutes another link in the array of services provided by the Federation of Jewish Communities, which coordinates the activities of the community rabbis and Chabad emissaries in the FSU under the leadership of Rabbi Lazar.

The project was carried out with exceptional dedication by Sarah Chana Mondshine and Shterna Sarah Mondshine.

The complex will begin operating on a regular basis and will serve all the rabbis coming to Moscow, as well as a center for meetings, training, and professional workshops to advance Jewish activity throughout the FSU.
