Chag HaSmicha Celebrated In Grand Ceremony By Online Smicha

Throughout the year the Bochurim covered and got tested onBasar B’Chalav, Ta’aruvos, Maacholei Akum and Hilchos Shabbos with clarity and depth. The program, led by Rabbi Nachman Wilhelm for almost two decades, emphasizes the learning journey and understanding the materials properly, and the Bochurim have shown great knowledge and understanding on their tests.

The event was attended by family and Rabbonim who came to honor this significant milestone, and the Bochurim got to hear words of inspiration from the Rabbonim and Shluchim in the crowd. 

Rabbi Chaim Moshe Bergstein, esteemed Rav in Detroit, Michigan, and one of the Rabbonim Hamasmichim of the program, delivered remarks that underscored the Rebbe’s vision of empowering young Shluchim with deep Torah knowledge. He emphasized the unique opportunity these Bochurim have to illuminate their communities with halacha and Chassidus.

The Tosher Dayan of Monsey, Rav Avrohom Katz, brought a heartfelt message on the eternal flame of Torah and the importance of yiras Shamayim in rabbinic leadership. He expressed his amazement at this achievement.

Rabbi Meir Finkel, Rov of Bais Medrash Avreichim and Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivas Alexander, and a father of one of the Mesaimim, shared his first hand experience of seeing how the program demanded learning from his son, and his positive impression of the Shiurim by Rabbi Wilhelm.

Rabbi Yossie Shemtov, Shliach to Tuscon AZ, and a father of one of the mushmachim, shared his personal encouragement to the new musmachim, urging them to embrace their role as lamplighters in every environment they will encounter.

The event included the formal presentation of Smicha certificates. The Bochurim, many of whom had learned from various global locations through, celebrated together in person, turning their virtual camaraderie into tangible achdus.
