An Ambassador in Bozeman

Bozeman’s Jewish community was honored to host Israel’s Ambassador to the United States, Dr. Yechiel “Michael” Leiter for Shabbos Nachamu.

Ambassador Leiter is a genuine Mentsch, a wise Torah scholar, a beloved father, and a person who has a fiery love for the Jewish people and Israel.

His words about his oldest son Moshe Yedidya, who died in Gaza Al Kiddush HaShem while defending his nation, warmed all our hearts. His openness to debate/converse with our many guests on important issues, including the hot topic of “Israel’s draft”, was so appreciated, and his lessons about gratitude will resonate with me for years to come.

Israel is blessed to have an Ambassador who lives Jewishly, devoted to Torah and Mitzvos, and who is humble, gentle and thoughtful.

“Bozeman was blessed to host you,” said Rabbi Chaim Bruk of Chabad of Boseman. “Keep up the good fight for our people, our land and western civilization.”
