BDE: Mrs. Chava Leah Edelman, 41, OBM

With great sadness we report the passing of Mrs. Chava Leah Edelman OBM, who along with her husband Cheski, were Shluchim in Bayside, WI.

Chava led The Shul in Bayside in partnership with her husband, Rabbi Cheski Edelman, with boundless wisdom, warmth, and her signature steady hand. Her commitment to her mission, her Shlichus, and the vision of the Rebbe, and her belief in every person’s potential, was unwavering. Her life of devotion to Yiddishkeit, family, and community will continue to shape and inspire all who were blessed to know her.

Chava is survived by her husband, Rabbi Cheski, her children, Sender, Rosie, Fishel, Fayga, and Mushka..

She is also survived by her parents Rabbi Avraham and Shprintza Kavka of Seattle WA and her extended family, her Shul community, and the entire Milwaukee Jewish community.

United in their mission, her fellow Shluchos and their husbands, the Shluchim, are themselves a deep-knit community, and her loss is one of profound sorrow.

The Levaya will take place near the Ohel and is anticipated to take place on Sunday at around 4:30pm. The Funeral will not pass 770.

Shiva will take place at 1355 President St. until Tuesday after Shacharis. The rest of Shiva will be held in Milwaukee WI.
