CEO of Chabad Israel’s “Ministry of Education” to Address Record‑Breaking Kinus HaMechanchim
Drawing mechanchim from across the globe, the upcoming Kinus HaMechanchim is set to be the largest ever. Among the key voices featured will be Rabbi Eliyahu Krichevsky, Director of the Reshet in Israel.
“When mechanchim gather with this level of commitment, it shapes the future of Yiddishe Chinuch,” said Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, Executive Director of Merkos 302. “Voices like Rabbi Krichevsky help sharpen our shared goal: committed to the Rebbe’s vision to meet every child where they are and give them the gift of a strong, enduring Chinuch.”
A key highlight will be illuminating sessions by Rabbi Eliyahu Krichevsky, Director of the Reshet in Israel, a network encompassing hundreds of schools across the country. With experience in educational leadership, Rabbi Krichevsky has been at the forefront of developing innovative strategies to strengthen Jewish education in Israel.
Drawing from years at the helm of Israel’s Reshet network, Rabbi Krichevsky will share tested strategies and breakthrough models that have reshaped Jewish education across the country.
The Chinuch Office, under the leadership of Rabbi Nochum Kaplan and Associate Director Rabbi Zalmy Loewenthal, has been working closely with Rabbi Krichevsky to foster collaboration between the Reshet in Israel and Chabad schools throughout the United States and beyond. This partnership is creating exciting opportunities for shared resources, professional development, and mutual growth.
The closing ceremony banquet will be hosted by Rabbi Mendel Gordon, a renowned mashpia from London, setting a warm and Chassidisher tone for the evening. The program will also include engaging sessions from Rabbi Zalmy Kudan, Rabbi Yakov Danishefsky, LCSW, and other presenters, ensuring a productive two days.
A much‑anticipated joint session by Rabbi Shmuel Avtzon and Rabbi Hertzel Pevzner will unpack יסודות in Chinuch from the Rebbe’s Torah and how they apply in today’s classroom.
“We are seeing record‑breaking registration numbers this year,” says Rabbi Zalmy Loewenthal, Associate Director of the Chinuch Office. “It’s a powerful message of the dedication and passion our mechanchim have for strengthening our schools.”
The 25th annual Kinus HaMechanchim is set to take place next Wednesday and Thursday, August 13–14 Yud Tes–Chof Av at the Armon Hotel in Stamford, Connecticut.
