8-Year-Old Struck By a Car In Crown Heights, Rushed to the Hospital by Hatzalah

An 8-year-old boy was struck by a van on Eastern Parkway near Albany Ave Tuesday morning, and was rushed to the hospital by Hatzalah.

The boy was struck by a white van outside Chovevei Torah at approximately 8:40am, and according to the police, was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver and vehicle remained on scene of the incident.

    I can’t believe these incidents keep on happening.
    These neighborhoods got to upgrade their safety level.
    I mean, technically, kids are getting killed on this road. Something needs to be done.
    I almost got killed on that road. I’m lucky to be here

    Another 8 yr old Jewish boy was hit and killed at the same crossing on gimei Tamuz.!!!!!!!! Why isnt something being done?

    when will the bsbigshots step up advocate maybe froce the city to put spped bumps issue speeding &redlighttickets! cars speed on thathe side road 24/7 in order to make the lihty at he corner! why are there strangely no speed bumps outside any of the yeshivas yet there are sped bumpsfor example on Montgomery & NY ave or other places that are low priorities?

    Drivers need to be more careful, and all pedestrians need to look both ways before crossing, and parents please teach your kids this. And we all have our ears blocked and faces in our phones. It only takes a few seconds to look both ways. It is not always the drivers fault. And bikers too, you must follow the rules of the road.

    Why is an 8 year old crossing a busy road like Eastern Parkway unattended by a responsible adult?
