Another Crime, Another Arrest in Crown Heights Thanks to Shomrim

A Jewish woman walking in Crown Heights had her phone snatched Wednesday morning, but the perpetrator didn’t get far thanks to Crown Heights Shomrim.

The incident took place in the area of Eastern Parkway and Albany Ave around 12:30am when a criminal snatched the Jewish woman’s phone and attempted to run away.

A simultaneous call to the Shomrim Hotline, as well as a Shomrim volunteer in the area who heard the commotion, led to a quick response.

The responding volunteers kept an eye on the perpetrator, allowing Shomrim to pass on his exact location to the police, who arrived soon after.

Following a brief investigation the officers made an arrest and the woman was able to retrieve her phone.
