A Yungerman, a President, a Shliach: A Newly Published Glimpse Into Private Yechidus with the Rebbe
In honor of Gimmel Tammuz, JEM has restored and published audio recordings of four private Yechidus with the Rebbe, spanning the years 5722–5741.
Most of these recordings have never been heard and were recently acquired by JEM, and are now being published for the first time. Quietly recorded and preserved, they offer a rare glimpse into the special moments individuals experienced in Yechidus.
Together, they shed light on the wide range of people who would come to the Rebbe for a private meeting. The new audio published today includes:
- Israeli President Zalman Shazar, in the summer of 5733, who stayed for the Yud Beis Tammuz Farbrengen after his Yechidus.
- Rabbi Aharon Serebransky, a newly married yungerman, who entered Yechidus for his birthday and was guided by the Rebbe on being involved in askanus without taking away from his dedication to learning.
- An askan involved with Colel Chabad, who received pointed direction and encouragement from the Rebbe to take the Colel’s work to the next level.
- And a couple on the way to fulfil a unique Shlichus from the Rebbe; Rabbi Berel and Thelma Levy, traveling surreptitiously behind the Iron Curtain, receiving guidance from the Rebbe on their mission and a bottle of Mashke to bring along with them.
These four recordings are available at Ashreinu.app, along with the entire audio library of the Rebbe, with much of the audio in restored quality.
