In a large salvo of missiles shot from Iran Thursday morning, multiple missiles made it through Israel’s defenses, with one making a direct hit on Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva.
“Just yesterday we evacuated the old surgical building that took a direct hit today,” a doctor at Soroka said. “It’s a great miracle.”
Video and pictures from the scene showed extensive damage to the hospital.
Soroka Hospital (Be’er Sheva) spokeswoman said, “Damage to the hospital and extensive damage in various areas. The damage, including injuries, is currently being assessed. We ask that you not come to the hospital now. We will update with more details as soon as possible.”
Other sites in Israel also received direct hits, leading to tens of injuries.
