Registration Now Open for Chof Av in Alma Ata

The yahrtzeit of the Rebbe’s father, the tzaddik and mekubal Harav Levi Yitzchak Schneerson, is fast approaching—Chof Menachem Av.

It is well known how dear this day was to the Rebbe, who encouraged learning from his father’s teachings and holding a farbrengen in his memory. Baruch Hashem, over the past decade it has become increasingly accessible to travel to Alma Ata, Kazakhstan, and daven at the tziyun of the Rebbe’s father with comfortable hospitality provided for guests from around the world.

This year as well, full hospitality arrangements will be provided from Wednesday, 19 Menachem Av, through Friday, 21 Menachem Av.

Once you have booked your flights (direct or connecting) are reserved your hotel rooms, you will enjoy full hospitality program including transportation from the airport, meals at the hotel, and shuttle service between all key locations on the day of the yahrtzeit.

Along the main road leading from the entrance of the cemetery to the tziyun, air-conditioned tents will be set up for learning, davening, writing panim, and preparing for the visit to the tziyun. Drinks and light refreshments will be available throughout the day.

The main tefillah gathering—including Tehillim, niggunim, and a pan klali on behalf of Anash, shluchim, and temimim worldwide—will take place on the morning of Chof Av following shacharis, and will be broadcast live globally.

Shiurim and the central farbrengen will be held at the luxurious Rixos Hotel in the heart of Alma Ata, where guests can also book their accommodations.

The farbrengen, with participation from senior rabbanim, mashpiim, shluchim, and chassidim, will take place Wednesday night, the eve of Chof Av, in the hotel’s grand ballroom.

Special Opportunity for Shluchim and Shluchos!

Due to high airfare costs, a $500 travel subsidy is available for shluchim and their wives who will be traveling to Alma Ata for the yahrtzeit. Additionally, they will receive a 50% discount on hotel rooms. This offer is available to the first 250 shluchim who register.

    Why is the discount only for shluchim, if you’re a non shliach you dont deserve? 2nd class citizens?

      Maybe there was a sponsor who specifically wants to sponsor Shluchim who are struggling and can’t afford to go
