BDE: Mrs. Chana Scharf, 67, OBM

With great sadness we report the passing of Mrs. Chana Scharf OBM, whose children were famously cared for by the Rebbe following her husband’s passing. She passed away on Thursday, the 9th of Sivan, 5785.

She was 67 years old.

Following the passing of her husband, the Rebbe famously cared for her four children, ensuring their needs were met.

She is survived by her children, Mrs. Rochel Tenenboim (Destin, FL), Rabbi Menachem Mendel Scharf (Detroit, MI), Rabbi Shmuel Chaim Scharf (Chicago, IL), and Rabbi Shalom Dovber Scharf (Chicago, IL).

She is also survived by her brother Rabbi Yossi Blumenfeld of Crown Heights.

The Levaya will take place today, Thursday, passing by 770 at 3:30pm, with Kevurah in Cambria Heights, Queens.
