Lauderhill Mayor Joins Lag Baomer Events to Proclaim Jewish American Heritage Month
Lauderhill Mayor Denise Grant accompanied by city officials and staff attended the Lag Baomer events at Chabad of Inverrary, and at the Moshiach Center to proclaim May 2025 as Jewish American Heritage Month.
Mayor Grant reached out to Jewish Liaison Rabbi Chaim Rosenstein requesting a date in May to present proclamations honoring Rabbi Aron Lieberman Shlita of Chabad Of Inverrary, and honoring Rabbi Motti Anati OBM of Moshiach Center.
Rabbi Rosenstein replied “how about late at night on May 15th? ” To which the Mayor agreed.
In her remarks at both shuls Mayor Grant extolled the remarkable contributions and positive effect that the Jewish community has on Lauderhill.
Rabbi Rosenstein remarked ” there’s no better day to honor Jewish Heritage than Lag Baomer “.
Many in attendance felt that a great kiddush Hashem was made.
