Chabad Shliach Joins San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office’s Chaplains Team
Rabbi Meir Gordon of Chabad of Paso Robles was announced as the newest addition to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office’s Chaplains Team.
Born in London, Rabbi Meir pursued his rabbinic education in Israel and on the East Coast, receiving ordination in 2014. Since then, he has served and volunteered in communities across the U.S., Europe, and Asia before settling in Paso Robles, where he founded Chabad of Paso Robles, a local Jewish community center, in 2021.
“Rabbi Meir brings with him a deep passion for offering spiritual care, crisis support, and fostering community connection,” the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release. “He completed training with the U.S. Chaplains Corps in 2022 and currently volunteers at Twin Cities Community Hospital.”
“We’re grateful to have Rabbi Meir, his experience, and his compassionate heart as part of our chaplain team. Welcome to the Sheriff’s Office family!”
