The Yeshiva Gedola, under the direction of Rabbi YM Hertz, is currently located at its famous Kingsley Way premises, where it has been since its founding in 1982. It has long outgrown its premises and for a number of years the hanolo worked hard in order to find it new premises.

The new site is located on the border of Golders Green and Hendon, and will have adequate space in the Zal and dormitory for 100 students. It will also include a spacious Mikva, a sports hall and classrooms.

Also included in the new building will be a Community Center for the Anash who live in the area, with a Shul and a Simcha Hall to serve them.

All who attended the viewing were helped by the architect of the new building, Mr. Akiva Fehler, and many expressed their heartfelt wishes to the success of the project which will surely bring a huge kiddush shem Lubavitch in the entire London.

one person the thanks should go to is the one and only Moishe Gertner who with the Brochos from the Rebbe has been able to help out the NW London community with an open hand, he is an awesome guy and anyone from or has learnt in London can confirm, he is the one who has helped Lubavitch of NW London for many years

The reason this yeshiva has taken a while, is that they had to buy many seperate peices of land, and this is a very long and complicated process. The buying was only completed 3 months ago.

The only problem was that it should not have been public information before then.

It will IYH be finished within the next 2 years.

Great news for London, and likewise about time! this building is only going to be a benefit for all,but with all due respect, we’ll all believe it when we see it.
And to what AJF wrote about it being a mistake for those who let it out too early, well according to what they said a few years ago- the building should’ve been up by now! It’s like that in many cases, people say things they shouldn’t and promise things they can’t yet fulfill, why do things to satisfy the public when you know yourself it might not work out? I guess only time will tell in this case.

What street is the building going to be on. What happend to Hamsterd garden suberb.
I am shocked that they are moving to golders green b/c the rebbe was always pushing to stay in kingsely way.
What was it b/c of the naibouse that you could not make any noise. so what you won now they pushed you out. or was it that you all got to old to walk to kinsely way every shabbos. i am shocked b/c i grew up there and i know the politics with the next door .

darling the reason is because this building in BIGGER and BETTER then the one in kingsley way. you cannot build a building of that size on kingsley way as it is a residental area. this will benifit the yeshiva and the community in an unbelievable way. sorry ur childhood memories will be wrecked but times change and you’ll get over it…………
