Jewish Unity, Laughter, and Music Light Up Brooklyn

On Thursday night, February 20th, over 200 students and community members gathered at Chabad of Clinton Hill and Pratt Institute for an electrifying night of Jewish pride, laughter, and music. The event, featuring world-renowned comedian Elon Gold and the talented rapper and singer Kosha Dillz, was a powerful celebration of Jewish identity, joy, and resilience.

Presented by Chabad of Clinton Hill in partnership with Chabad on Campus International and generously supported by UJA-Federation of New York, the evening provided an uplifting and joyful experience for attendees looking to connect with their Jewish heritage in a happy, spirited, and engaging way.

From the moment Elon Gold took the stage, the energy in the room was palpable. His signature wit and sharp observational humor had the audience roaring with laughter, seamlessly weaving in themes of Jewish pride and the joy of being part of an enduring Jewish legacy. Gold, known for his appearances on Netflix, HBO, and late-night talk shows, brought not only comedy but a deep and heartfelt message of unity and perseverance.

Adding to the electric atmosphere, Kosha Dillz took over the mic, blending hip-hop and Jewish culture in a way only he can. The audience sang along enthusiastically, creating an unforgettable moment of Jewish spirit and celebration.

Rabbi Yossi Eliav, director at Chabad of Clinton Hill and Pratt Institute, took a moment to address the crowd, emphasizing the importance of standing proudly as Jews, especially in today’s climate. “This event wasn’t just about entertainment—it was about connection and celebration,” said Rabbi Eliav. “We brought together students and the community to laugh, to sing, and to embrace the joy of Jewish life. Seeing over 200 people come together like this makes it clear that Jewish pride is alive and thriving.”

The evening underscored the vital role of Jewish campus communities in providing students with a space to express their heritage with confidence and happiness. Many attendees walked away feeling inspired and re-energized, ready to carry that spirit of joy and unity forward.

With the success of this event, Chabad of Clinton Hill hopes to continue bringing meaningful and spirited Jewish experiences to students and the broader community, fostering a sense of belonging and excitement through uplifting programming.

“This is just the beginning,” Rabbi Eliav added. “We’re here to ensure that every Jewish student has a home, a community, and a reason to celebrate their identity with joy.”

The event was made possible by Chabad on Campus International, UJA-Federation of New York, US Virtual Guard, and the dedicated students and volunteers at Chabad of Clinton Hill and Pratt.
