Sefer Torah To Be Dedicated At the United Nations Headquarters in NYC

The First Sefer Torah written in Israel for the United Nations, to bring Peace and Unity, will take place in Monday March3rd, at the United Nations Headquarters in NYC.

The event is arranged by the Institute of the Noahide Code, a UN NGO under the leadership of Rabbi Y. D. Cohen.

“As the Rabbi Director of the Institute of the Noahide Code, a UN NGO, I am heartened to come into the United Nations Headquarters with the Isaiah Wall right across the UN in which the day is mentioned that no nation will wage war against another nation, and that swords will be transformed into plowshares. The Universal Noahide Code is a means by which humanity strives to live in unity and peace,” Rabbi Cohen said. “These laws for peace and unity encompass respect for G-d, for human life, respect for the Family, for other people’s property, the creation and respect of a judicial system, and respect for all creatures as well as the environment.”

“The United Nations acknowledges human rights as well as humanity’s right to freedom, including that of religion. The Torah ceremony is open to all, including people to the United Nations of all races, religions and ethnicities. As the UN Torah scroll written in Israel is completed, on March 3, 2025 at 1pm we will have a joyful ceremony to welcome the new sacred addition in the UN HQ. It would be our honor for you to attend the Torah for Peace and Unity.”
