Pegisha Europe Launches to Unite Jewish Students Across the Continent
For years, Pegisha has been a defining experience for Jewish students worldwide—bringing together young Jews from diverse backgrounds for a Shabbos of inspiration, connection, and empowerment. Now, for the first time ever, that experience is coming to Europe with the launch of Pegisha Europe.
Set to take place in Budapest, Pegisha Europe 2025 will unite Jewish students from across the continent for an unforgettable weekend filled with dynamic speakers, uplifting Farbrengens, and a powerful sense of Jewish pride. A project of Chabad on Campus International, this new initiative marks a major milestone in supporting Jewish life on European campuses.
Rabbi Yossy Gordon, CEO of Chabad on Campus International, shared his excitement about the launch of Pegisha Europe: “Pegisha has always been about giving students a transformative Jewish experience, one that stays with them long after the weekend ends. Expanding this event to Europe ensures that more students than ever will have the opportunity to connect, be inspired, and take pride in their Jewish identity.”
Adding to the excitement, platinum-selling Jewish singer Alex Clare will perform live at the event, bringing his signature blend of soulful music and deep Jewish spirit to the Pegisha experience.
Set in a city with a rich and storied Jewish past, Pegisha Europe in Budapest will offer a unique opportunity to explore Jewish heritage, engage in meaningful discussions, and celebrate Shabbos with hundreds of fellow Jewish students. From inspiring learning sessions and deep conversations to joyous meals and dancing, the event will be filled with the unmistakable warmth and energy that Pegisha is known for.
Rabbi Avi Weinstein, COO of Chabad on Campus International, highlighted: “Our goal is to ensure that every Jewish student, no matter where they are in the world, has access to meaningful Jewish experiences. Pegisha Europe is another step in our global campaign to strengthen Jewish identity and community among Jewish students everywhere.”
