NJ Gov. Phil Murphy Pays Respects to Pioneering Rabbi Moshe Herson OBM

This morning, January 26, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy paid respects to the family of Rabbi Moshe Herson, a pivotal figure in the NJ Jewish community who passed away on January 23 at age 90.

As NJ regional director of Chabad-Lubavitch and dean of Morristown’s Rabbinical College of America for over six decades, Rabbi Herson helped establish over 70 Chabad Jewish centers across the state, built the Rabbinical college into a world-class educational institute, and ordained hundreds of rabbis who went on to impact Jewish communities around the world.
