Cheder Chabad of Baltimore Hosts Memorable Parent Night Out
The Cheder Chabad Parent Night Out was an event to remember, drawing parents, and staff together for an evening of inspiration and celebration. The beautifully decorated room, paired with excellent catering from The Knish Shop, set the stage for a warm and inviting atmosphere. Music by the Zemer Orchestra, featuring Cheder alumnus Yossi Slatkin and 2nd-grade Rebbi Rabbi Eli Solomon, added a special touch to the evening.
Thanks are due to the dedicated parent committee members, Mrs. Feige Cohen, Mrs. Sarena Cohen, Mrs. Coty Jacobson, and Mrs. Chana Wolosow, for their hard work in organizing this exceptional event.
Showcasing Learning and Growth
The Boys’ School presented an impressive array of exhibits highlighting each class’s learning journey. Projects ranged from the various types of Sukkahs mentioned in Maseches Sukkah to the differing halachic opinions on tying tzitzis. Meanwhile, the Thalia Resnick Girls’ School displayed frames depicting concepts in Chassidus, each crafted by the individual classes. The Gan stole hearts with a delightful video showcasing a day in the life of a Gan student.
Inspiring Addresses and Recognitions
The formal program featured moving addresses by Rabbi Shmuel Kaplan, head shliach of Maryland, and Rabbi Elchonon Lisbon, founder of the Cheder and Rav of Ohel Levi Yitzchok and Chabad of Park Heights. Their words inspired the audience and underscored the Cheder’s vital role in the community.
Rabbi Elchonon Chaikin honored the PTA Presidents, Mrs. Ruti Rosenbloom, Mrs. Chaya Chazan, and Mrs. Chana Wolosow, with thoughtful gifts in recognition of their tireless dedication. Additionally, over 30 staff members were celebrated for their veteran years of teaching. Principals presented each veteran teacher with a plaque, and every staff member received a meaningful gift. Families in attendance were also given a keepsake to commemorate the evening.
A Vision for the Future
As the event drew to a close, attendees watched the annual crowdfunding campaign video. The campaign theme, “Spark, Shine, Lead,” captured the essence of Cheder Chabad’s mission and inspired the community to continue supporting its growth and success.
