BDE: Mrs. Pearl Herson, 85, OBM

With great sadness we report the passing of Mrs. Pearl Herson OBM, the wife of Rabbi Moshe Herson, the Head Shliach of the Rebbe to the State of New Jersey, and Dean of the Rabbinical College of America.

She was 85 years old.

Mrs. Herson’s commitment to Yiddishkeit and the Rebbe’s calling of Shlichus, allowed the Rabbinical College of America and Chabad of the State of New Jersey to flourish over the past 50+ years.

She is survived by her husband, Rabbi Moshe Herson, and children; Rabbi Asher Herson (Rockaway, NJ), Mrs. Sara Brafman (Morristown, NJ), and Rabbi Mendy Herson (Basking Ridge, NJ), as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The funeral will pass the Rabbinical College of America promptly at 7:00 this evening.

The Levaya will take place tomorrow, Friday, passing 770 Eastern Parkway at 10:30am before proceeding to Old Montefiore Cemetery at 11:30am.
