Former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant Visits 770 During The Kinus Hashluchim

Just weeks after being dismissed from hi post as Israel’s Defense Minister and less than two weeks after having an ICC arrest warrant placed on his head, Yoav Gallant made a visit to 770 Eastern Parkway during the International Kinus Hashluchim.

A Farbrengen was taking place in 770 at the time of his visit, and he spoke briefly to the assembled crowd.

Galant was appointed to the post of Minister of Education in 2020, and the following year became Minister of Defense. On 5 November 2024, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that he had dismissed Gallant, and effective November 7th sought to have Israel Katz replace him.

On 21 November 2024, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Gallant along with Netanyahu and Hamas leader Mohammed Deif for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity committed during the Israel–Hamas war. This is the first visit abroad for Gallant since the arrest warrant was issued.
