Chabad Lubavitch Headquarters Releases First Statement On Missing Shliach, Satmar Announces Support On Social Media

Chabad Lubavitch Headquarters has released its first statement following the breaking news that Rabbi Zvi Kogan, the Chabad Shliach to Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates has gone missing.

“We are deeply concerned about Rabbi Zvi Kogan, a Chabad-Lubavitch emissary who went missing in the Emirati city of Dubai on Thursday.

Our emissaries are working closely with authorities as they investigate his disappearance.

We pray, along with the worldwide Jewish community for his safe return, and we ask everyone to keep Zvi haCohen ben Ettel in your prayers.

The statement, made public VIA social media, was soon followed by the strong support from the Satmar Jewish community, who wrote “The worldwide Satmar Community is united in prayer for the safe return of Rabbi Zvi Kogan, one of the @ChabadUae Lubavitch shluchim in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) who has been missing since Thursday. צבי בן עטל – הקב״ה ימלא רחמים עליו.”
