Oholei Torah Zal Begins New Zman With Record Enrollment and Expanded Staff
Oholei Torah Zal welcomed talmidim back for the new zman in an atmosphere of anticipation and dedication. As in previous years, Oholei Torah remains a respected choice for serious talmidim committed to Limmud Hatorah and Avodas Hashem, with its Beis Medrash continuing to serve as a preferred destination for talmidim from around the globe.
To support the growing number of talmidim, Oholei Torah has made significant additions to its staff over the past few years. Rabbi Yossi Shmuckler joined as a meishiv, engaging talmidim with personalized guidance. Rabbi Berel Korf became a mashpia for the new class, bringing his experience and commitment to the spiritual development of the talmidim. Rabbi Shmuly Klyne was added as a maggid shiur in Shiur Beis. R’ Shmuel Edelman was added as Mashgiach of the student housing.
This year, we are pleased to welcome additional rabbanim to our team. Rabbi Tzemach Zirkind has joined as a mashgiach, and Rabbis Dov Popack and Avrohom Chaim Stern have joined as maggidei shiur for Shiur Daled, enhancing the learning experience with their vast Torah knowledge and dynamic teaching styles. Rabbi Shmuly Zaltzman and Rabbi Yehoshua Blasenstein will serve as meishivim for the afternoon seder, continuing to provide individualized support for talmidim.
In addition to expanding our staff, Oholei Torah has also addressed the practical needs that come with increased enrollment. We have secured additional apartments to provide convenient housing for our talmidim and have added new classrooms to ensure that each talmid has the necessary space and resources for their studies. We extend our deepest gratitude to R’ Hirsh Meilach Rosenfeld and the operations and service team for their tireless work in getting the Zal up and running smoothly for the new zman.
Rabbi Elchonon Leshes, Rabbi Nissan Deitch, Rabbi Mendel Blau, and the board of directors have each worked diligently to prepare for this zman, ensuring that the Zal remains a nurturing environment for every talmid. As the new zman begins, the talmidim are ready to immerse themselves in their studies and continue the proud tradition of chinuch that Oholei Torah represents.
Looking forward, Oholei Torah remains committed to exploring opportunities to support the growing demand for its Zal. This includes efforts to expand our batei medrashim, recruit additional mashpi’im, maggidei shiur, and staff to serve as part of the expanded hanhala, secure more housing, and add classrooms to ensure that every talmid continues to receive a high standard of Torah education in an environment that fosters spiritual and personal growth B’ezras Hashem.
