Dovi’s CGI Florida Gifts the Rebbe over 64,000 Lines of Torah at the 18th annual MBP Award Ceremony

Campers and staff of Dovi’s CGI Florida gathered on the final Sunday of summer camp to celebrate achievements at the 18th annual MBP Award ceremony, a gift to the Rebbe.

Learning Director Rabbi Yisroel Benjaminson commended everyone for their 6+ week-long accomplishments, totaling a record 64,398 lines of Torah memorized, which included:

8 full mesechtos (new record)
151 perakim Mishnayos
1,623 Mishnas
12,269 lines of Mishnayos
47 perakim Tanya (new record)
5,993 lines of Tanya (new record)
462 lines of Ma’amar Bar Mitzvah
45,674 lines of general Torah knowledge

A video showing the Rebbe’s appreciation for such gifts was shown followed by honoring the campers with the most points: 1st Place – Avrohom Dovid Brownstein, 2nd Place – Eli Cattan, 3rd Place – Mendel Wolff.

Each camper was then called up, accompanied by a multimedia presentation of their picture and stats, to receive seforim they ordered from the camp’s seforim catalog, based on their point total.

For the third consecutive summer, heartfelt gratitude was expressed to Rabbi Yossi Teleshevsky of chabadkid.com for providing a modern platform that made information entry and access easy at any time and location. The crowd applauded in appreciation for Mendel Tenenbaum for processing the data and facilitating all web-related activity throughout the summer. Finally, a special hakorav hatov was extended to Rabbi Dovid Zirkind of baalpeh.org for his pioneering database that has enabled the tracking of each camper’s progress for over 14 summers.

Camp Gan Israel Florida’s administration, under the leadership of Rabbi Yossi Biston and Rabbi Yossi Goldblatt wishes everyone success in their studies for the upcoming school year, and bring about the revelation of Moshiach Now, as it is written: אין כל הגלויות הללו מתכנסות אלא בזכות המשניות.
