Moshiach Chidon Winners Announced
This year’s Moshiach Chidon Gala Banquet took place on Tuesday night, bringing together Bochurim from around the world to celebrate their dedication to learning Inyonei Geulah uMoshiach.
An impressive 2,000 Bochurim participated in this year’s Moshiach Chidon, with 520 advancing past the final round and earning their spots at the Gala Banquet and Chidon. The feeling of Achdus permeated the air, uniting participants from various countries, languages, and backgrounds, all with a shared goal: to bring Moshiach.
Rabbi Mendel Yuzevitch served as the MC for the evening. The panel of judges included Rabbis Mendel Blau, Shloma Majeski, and Shalom Zirkind.
Bochurim on stage represented various Yeshivas, many of whom had already showcased their knowledge in mini Chidon competitions at their respective Yeshivas.
The stage representatives were: Avi Boaz from YTTL Antwerp, Belgium, Levi Nakeh from Yeshivas Lubavitch Argentina, Leizer Levin from Lubavitch Mesivta of Scottsdale, Arizona, Dovid Kleinman from Mesivta Lubavitch Baltimore, Menachem Mendel Eidelman from Yeshiva Ketana Brunoy, France, Mendel Binyominson from Yeshivas Lubavitch Cincinnati, Meir Shtifel from Chayolei Beis Dovid, Poconos, Gavriel Levitin from Mesivta D’Kingston, Moshe Lang from Mesivta Lubavitch of Monsey, Shneor Zalman Lokshin from Mesivta Lubavitch Moscow, Russia, Sholom Mendel Cohen from Ateres Menachem Montreal, Yisroel Okonov from Kerem Menachem Montreal, Eli Uminer from Yeshivas Beis Dovid Shlomo New Haven, Osher Berenshtein from Oholei Torah Mesivta, Menachem Mendel Feinstein from Beis Shalom Postville, Asher Siegel from Achei Temimim Pittsburgh, Moshe Dovid Junik from Mayan Torah Pomona, Zev Wollach from Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Queens, Mordechai Gopin from Mesivta D’Suffield Connecticut, Sholom Ber Vechter from Mesivta Lubavitch Toronto, Shneor Zalman Neimark from Tomchei Temimim of Vienna, Austria, and Menachem Mendel Chein from Mesivta Menachem Westchester.
The Bochurim were treated to a special multimedia presentation featuring Rabbi Shmuel Butman, Rabbi Simon Jacobson, Rabbi Yisroel Noach Lipsker, Rabbi Berel Lazar, and Rabbi Yossi Paltiel.
The night reached its peak with the announcement of the winners. Moshe Lang from Mesivta Lubavitch of Monsey won first place and was awarded a Ksav Yad from the Rebbe. Shneor Zalman Lokshin from Mesivta Lubavitch Moscow, Russia claimed second place and received a dollar from the Rebbe, while Sholom Ber Vechter from Mesivta Lubavitch Toronto came in third, receiving a precious stamp from the Rebbe.
As a special memento of the occasion, each participant was gifted a Sefer on Geulah uMoshiach.
Additionally, more than 90 Bochurim who had won Seforim in raffles during the course of the Mivtza were presented with their prized Seforim.
The banquet concluded on a high note, with spontaneous dancing and singing filling the room as the winners were announced, celebrating the months of hard work the finalists had put into learning Inyonei Geulah uMoshiach.
We are confident that this event brought the Rebbe much nachas, and we hope and pray that next year’s Chidon will take place in Yerushalayim, with Moshiach at its lead.
