New Shluchim To Manhasset, Long Island

Manhasset, a Long Island city, is known for its hospitals and shopping centers, but less known for its Jews. Rabbi Levi and Shani Paltiel are here to Change that.

In addition to the many Jews living throughout the gated communities, there is a growing community of Jewish professionals and young families who are overjoyed at the thought of Chabad moving to town. Additionally, there are many Jewish guests visiting the shopping mall and hospitals which need to be catered to.

With a city full of Jews who need to be serviced, Rabbi Levi and Shani Paltiel envision an active Manhasset Jewish community. They are moving down there, along with their daughter Mussy, to make this dream a reality.

“We have found over 150 Jewish families living in town, and we believe there to be many more,” the Paltiel’s wrote. “We are just getting started. Our vision is to create a welcoming and proud Jewish community. We plan on beginning with Friday night meals, women’s events, Torah Classes and Holiday events.”
