Over 700 Families Tune In Daily To Gimmel Tammuz Hachana Program
As the 30th anniversary of Gimmel Tammuz draws nearer, preparations are building for the auspicious day. Families worldwide have had their camp commute and dinner tables transformed into farbrengens, with the help of child-friendly Hachana audio and an interactive curriculum booklet.
“My kids love this program. They make sure I print the daily curriculum every day before I go to work so they can submit answers in time for the raffle.” recounts Reb Yisroel Bisk from Irvine, CA. “I can tell from following up with them that they’ve understood the stories and their important life lessons.”
MyShliach, the global community for Yaldei Hashluchim opens its doors to all children for this program. Available on all podcast platforms, the daily stories, professionally told by renowned storyteller Rabbi Achiezer Langzam have proven to be a big hit with over 700 families tuning in in the United States alone.
The audio format makes it easy to fit into a busy schedule, whether in the car or during an activity, the experience can be enhanced with content that’s both educational and entertaining, A daily raffle takes place for children who submit an answer to the review question on MyShliach’s website.
The curriculum now enters its 3rd and final week, titled “What The Rebbe Taught Us.” Rich with stories of Chassidim and their interactions with the Rebbe, the daily read provides insights into what it means to be a chossid. Extracting lessons to be implemented in everyday life, the stories bring to life the experience of connecting to the Rebbe in an approachable way.
“For children nowadays who haven’t had a chance to receive a coin for tzedaka or Kos Shel Brocho from the Rebbe, hearing real stories of chassidim who did, brings to life that rich history,” said Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, Executive Director of Merkos 302. “This hachana program is sure infuse depth into hiskashrus for children and parents alike.”
