Record-Breaking Turnout at Chabad of Marine Park’s Lag Ba’omer Fair

In a historic first, the NYPD closed off Nostrand Avenue and Gerritsen Avenue for the annual Lag Ba’omer Family Fair, hosted by Chabad of Marine Park. An astonishing 5,000 participants gathered to celebrate Jewish unity pride, making this event a resounding success.

Asher, a proud attendee, exclaimed, “This was the first time a major street in Marine Park, Brooklyn was closed solely for the Jewish community to celebrate our holiday. My entire family was thrilled to be a part of it!”

The fair offered a variety of activities, including inflatables, a petting zoo, carnival games, face painting, balloon sculpting, BBQ lunch, and other refreshments. The excitement was palpable as thousands of children gathered to enjoy the festivities.

The highlight of the event was a mesmerizing show by world-renowned magician David Levitan, followed by children reciting the 12 Pesukim.

“We were blessed with an overwhelming turnout, fulfilling the Rebbe’s directive of gathering Jewish children on this special day to celebrate Jewish pride”, said Rabbi Levy Hendel, Director of Chabad of Marine Park.

This momentous occasion showcased the unity of the Marine Park community, with Yidden of all backgrounds celebrating together.
