One Of A Kind Home In Crown Heights Up For Sale For $6,000,000

by CrownHeights.info

The home located on the corner of President Street and Brooklyn Ave in Crown Heights is one of a kind. It’s also for sale for $6,000,000.

Listed on the open market just this past week, the mansion on perhaps the most sought after block of Crown Heights, was previously used as a school and administration building.

Situated on a rare corner property, the six bedroom and three bathroom house includes 5,160 square feet of living space plus a basement and garage.

According to the exclusive listing by Valerie Sebbag, each floor encompasses more than 1700 square feet of spacious sunlit rooms with original architecture that can be beautifully restored. Pictures on the listing show a partially modernized interior with a wide staircase leading up the three floors of the home.

If you think a $6,000,000 price tag is a lot, you would only be partially right.

Situated on the mansion lined “Doctors Row”, these one of a kind homes are just that, one of a kind.

While the homes previously sold on the block do not range near $6,000,000, according to New York City records some homes have sold for over $2,600,000 in 2016, with estimates in present day value pushing the $3,000,000 mark.

Just over Brooklyn Ave though, a closer comparison may be found with a home on President Street listed as having sold in 2021 for $4,000,000. While still shy of the asking $6,000,000 it shows just how much these homes may be worth.

Another home, also a corner lot just two blocks south on Crown Street, also sold in the $4,000,000 range, closing at the end of 2022 for $4,250,000.

So while a $6,000,000 price tag may sound like a lot, it may also be, by our estimate, within around $1,000,000 of its true worth. So the price tag of six million dollars may kind of make some sense, sort of.

Shame on Valerie for being in the forefront on the housing problem that we all face.

She jacks up prices by 20-25% hoping for a sucker.

$5Million is a more realistic price for this property.

The buyer at a $6 million should be prepared to pay another 2.25% = $135,000 for the Millionaire’s Tax on Purchasers.

Looking at the pictures, it’s clear the house needs work. It’s worth $4 million tops.

Without naming any names, this “Broker” is doing a great job by inflating these ridiculous prices in our community.

This got to stop. Enough of this non sense.

And the “broker” charges a whopping 6 percent “Commission”!!!!!
That is an astonishing $360,000 fot putting up a sign!!!!

How stupid can a seller be to give away the kind of money!

Why not tell the brokers to go get real jobs, stop rip

Brokers should get real jobs and become productive people in society. Stop ripping off the common folk. Stop.
