New Podcast Delves into Unknown Stories in Tanach

new podcast released by Rabbi Shmuel Aber delves in-depth into the little-known stories behind the personalities in Navi. The new podcast series, titled “Untold Stories of the Torah”, aims to shed light on the lesser-known facets of the Tanach by exploring the stories and hidden details behind the famous Torah figures.

“Navi is one of the most under-studied topics in Torah,” says Rabbi Aber. “Most people have little to no knowledge of the basic stories in the Navi, and because so many stories are very difficult to understand without Chazal and Chassidus, unfortunately, many mischaracterizations of the Tzadikim mentioned in Tanach have become prevalent.”

This series promises to bring a fresh perspective to Tanach, combining the classic interpretations from the Gemara and Medrashim with Chassidic insights. The podcast delves into the complex lives of Tzadikim such as Yehonasan, Yiftach, Shimshon, Queen Esther, and even complicated figures such as Achitophel. Through meticulous research and engaging storytelling, Rabbi Aber uncovers the layers of Hashkafic significance embedded in the Torah’s accounts.

Episodes such as “Prince Yehonasan. Unconditional Friendship“, “King Yechonya – The Captive King“, and “Yiftach. The Forgiving Judge“, provide audiences with an immersive experience into the lives of these holy Tzadikim, beyond the surface-level stories often told. The podcast aims to bridge the gap between the Peshat and Chassidic understanding, making the lessons gleaned from the Navi accessible and relevant to today’s audience. It also offers a critical resource for Mechanchim and teachers in a subject that is often overlooked.

The “Untold Stories of the Torah” podcast is available for streaming on major platforms like Spotify, YouTube Music, and Apple Podcasts. It is also available on 24SIX. Each episode promises to be a journey into the heart of Jewish heritage, offering insights, revelations, and a deeper appreciation for the timeless stories of the Torah.

I am very much enjoying your podcast on Spotify. I learned Midrash Rabbah Esther with Rabbi Chaim Kosofsky. We are in Longmeadow, Massachusetts. Your discussions of Esther were wonderful additions to my previous learning. Please continue with these podcasts. I very much enjoy them and look forward to many more!
