Excitement is “Building” for the Great Lag B’Omer Parade
The streets of Crown Heights are abuzz with activity as preparations are underway for the much-anticipated Lag B’Omer parade. This year’s theme, “Marching United with Eretz Yisroel,” promises to be a spectacular celebration in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in the Land of Israel.
Talented bochurim and girls are working tirelessly to bring their creative visions to life, constructing magnificent floats that will transport spectators on a journey through the landscapes and landmarks of the Holy Land.
The float themes will be:
- Upsherin Float in Meron
- Yerushalayim Ir Hakodesh
- Tzfas If Hakodesh
- Chevron Ir Hakodesh
- Teverya Ir Hakodesh
- The 6-day War
- The Yom Kippur War
- Desert Storm
- The Shiva Minim
- Yerushalayim When Moshiach Comes
One of the most highly anticipated floats is the “Upsherin” float, which will pay tribute to the cherished tradition of a young boy’s first haircut. Parents and families are encouraged to sign up at www.thegreatparade.com/upsherin. The deadline to sign up for the Upsherin float is Thursday, May 23.
As the excitement builds, the community eagerly awaits the opportunity to come together and celebrate the joyous occasion of Lag B’Omer while honoring the beloved Land of Israel.
