Main Speakers Announced for Kinus Mechanchos 5784

It is not every day that teachers sit back and reflect on their past year of teaching and prepare for the year ahead. The goal of the Kinus Mechanchos Chabad, organized each summer by the Menachem Education Foundation (MEF), is to ensure that teachers are equipped physically, emotionally, and spiritually, as they walk into their classrooms for the new school year. With this in mind, and in the spirit of an extra Adar this year, the Vaad Hakinus has decided on the theme of “Chinuch with Joy – כי בשמחה תצאו.” This theme will be at the forefront of their minds as they plan the program.

In addition to the Vaad Hakinus, MEF works with a committee of dedicated administrators and teachers from a wide range of Chabad schools and roles to help with planning the Kinus. The Kinus Mechanchos committee is dedicated to giving each participant the highest level of training for a successful school year, and to ensure that it meets the needs of every educator who attends. They are excited to announce the main speakers at this year’s Kinus Mechanchos.

Rabbi Yossi Marlow of Miami, FL will fill the role of Rav at this year’s Kinus, sharing words of inspiration and the Halacha and Hashkafa of Chabad Chinuch. On the professional development side, Dr. Laya Salomon, a skilled mentor and trainer of teachers and principals alike, will be offering workshops and mentoring, and Mrs. Chanie Wilshansky, director of Schools of Excellence, will give a talk on the essential elements of a joyful Chinuch. Dr. Sara Rosenfeld and Mrs. Henny Bartfield will also be sharing their expertise in various areas of Chinuch, together with many other presenters and sessions being offered in parallel tracks to reach teachers and leaders of every grade and subject.

The committee is continuing to work on the lineup of speakers, as well as panels, networking sessions, and more, to ensure that there is someone to whom each participant can relate, guaranteeing that each participant gains a vast amount of knowledge, tools, and inspiration from the Kinus Mechanchos.

Registration for the Kinus Mechanchos opens on May 7th – כ”ט ניסן. To learn more about the Kinus Mechanchos, visit our website at mymef.org/kinus.
