Photos of the Rebbe Outside the City: Kyiv is Ready for יא Nissan

At the same time as feverish preparation for the third Passover holiday in the shadow of the war, the chief Shliach to Kyiv and the city’s rabbi, Rabbi Yonatan Markovich, initiated a unique advertising campaign on the occasion of the rabbi’s birthday, all over the capital of Ukraine.

As part of the unique advertising campaign, 122 billboards and giant screens with the image of the Rebbe “Kyiv congratulates the Rebbe for his birthday “ and the Hasidic proverb “Think well – it will be good” were placed around Kyiv.

The signs that were hung by the ‘JCC Beit Menachem’ initiative led by the Rabbi of Kyiv, Rabbi Yonatan Markovitch, convey messages of encouragement and strength to the residents of Ukraine.

During Friday the 11th of Nissan – the date of the birthday – the members of the community will go out for a large tefillin operation throughout the city.

In addition, the community distributes Passover food to the city’s Jews and during the holiday seders will be held throughout the city. Volunteers from the community, Seder night will also be held in prisons for Jewish prisoners.
