Seminary Girls Excited About ‘Teach for Lubavitch’ Program
Over the past month, Menachem Education Foundation’s team has been traveling to visit various seminaries aiming to connect potential teachers to the new Teach for Lubavitch program.
Teach for Lubavitch will offer aspiring Mechanchos a year-long teaching opportunity as they will be placed in Chabad schools across the United States. Alongside on-site mentorship and support, the program provides a comprehensive online teacher training experience, empowering participants to make a meaningful impact in Chabad schools. This presents a unique opportunity for young women to apply the learning and inspiration gained in their education, investing in the future of our community while continuing to learn and grow within a supportive Chassidishe environment.
Mrs. Rivka Holzman, program administrator, visited Prague Seminary and Beis Chana Milan at the beginning of the month. This past week, Morah Shana Tiechtel, program director, toured seminaries in Eretz Yisroel including; Beit Chana Tzfas, Seminary Chaya Mushka, Machon Shoshanat Yerushalayim and Oryah Seminary. Visits to each seminary included an inspiring Rebbe video about the great effects a Chassidishe Chinuch has on not only the child but the family too. Girls were presented with the ideas and details of the program, and were given the opportunity to ask questions.
Seminary girls shared how excited they are to have the opportunity to learn fundamental teaching skills and make a change in the life of a child, while gaining credits for their teacher training courses and benefitting from a paid teaching position.
An applicant shared, “I began teaching at the beginning of this school year and due to lack of support I left at the end of the day feeling depleted and chose to leave my teaching position. I am excited to sign up for Teach for Lubavitch because I know I will be able to get the support I need throughout my first year of teaching to help me in my future shlichus of Chinuch.”
As the initiative continues to gain momentum, it promises to cultivate a new generation of dedicated educators to teach the next generation of Lubavitch leaders. Registration is closing on Friday, May 3rd – כ”ה ניסן; register now at mymef.org/tfl.
