Joey Newcomb to Headline at JewQ Championship

Amidst challenges faced by Jewish communities worldwide, the JewQ Championship stands out this year as a pivotal event, reinforcing the importance of Jewish pride and connection to Judaism’s teachings. Participants, inspired by the current global context, are more committed than ever to their studies and eager to share their insights and inspiration.

CKids is excited to announce that Yosef “Joey” Newcomb, the rising star in Jewish music and ambassador of the Thank You Hashem movement, will be the leading performer at the landmark event. Newcomb’s music, celebrating Jewish identity and gratitude, aligns perfectly with the ethos of JewQ, aiming to inspire participants and audience members alike with its message and energy.

Rabbi Zalmy Lowenthal, director of CKids International at Merkos 302, emphasizes the dual impact of the event: “The JewQ Championship is a platform to celebrate hard-earned knowledge and a public declaration of Jewish pride. Joey’s positive energy and love of Yiddishkeit will magnify this celebration.”

The JewQ Championship, produced by Dovid Weinbaum of DW Productions, is the highlight of the CKids Shabbaton happening from April 5-7 in Stamford, CT, and is set to honor the achievements of children from Hebrew schools globally. These participants, who have significantly advanced their knowledge of Jewish heritage by investing countless hours in mastering the curricula, will demonstrate their learning and pride before an audience of hundreds in person and thousands online.
