CKids Shabbaton Announces Head Staff

The forthcoming CKids Shabbaton featuring the JewQ championship unites children from across the globe for a Shabbos celebrating their Jewish identity and studies. Kids will experience an unforgettable weekend full of exciting performances, thrilling trips, action-packed activities, beautiful Shabbat meals, new friendships, and memories to last a lifetime.

“Children attending Chabad Houses worldwide have spent numerous hours of their free time studying Torah leading up to the JewQ championships,” shared Rabbi Zalmy Lowenthal, director of CKids International. “The diligent work of our team at CKids is a testament to the children’s efforts and the reward they deserve.”

The Shabbaton features simultaneous programs for children and their parents, produced by Malka Aisenbach of MA Productions. To ensure that the program goes smoothly, the parent’s program will be led by Mrs. Raizy Barber, and the children’s program by Director Yachit Tiefenbrun, along with division heads Mussi Azimov, Yocheved Brook, Rochele Goldenberg, Perel Gordon.

“The staff of this Shabbaton will play a pivotal role,” says Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, Executive Director of Merkos 302. “When they look at the staff,  the children see Yiddishkeit personified, and we couldn’t have a better group to be that example.”

Sunday’s grand finale is the JewQ championship, where kids have an opportunity to use the Torah knowledge they’ve acquired to compete for coveted awards in a game-show format. Rabbi Mendel Raskin, JewQ director, will conduct the game show which promises to be educational and entertaining for all attendees. State-of-the-art graphics and videos will be produced by Dovid Weinbaum of DW Productions for this highlight event.
