BDE: Mrs. Lily Milecki, 94, OBM

With great sadness we report the passing of Mrs. Lily Milecki OBM, a cherished mother and grandmother from Melbourne, Australia. She passed away on Thursday morning, 20 Adar I, 5784.

She was 94 years old.

Mrs. Milecki, the devoted wife of the late Mr. Eliyahu Milecki, was a respected member of the Anash community in Melbourne. In the 1960s and 70s, the Milecki family grew close to the Rebbe and Chabad through the influence of the Rebbe’s emissaries and the Bochurim Shluchim at Yeshiva Gedolah.

Mr. and Mrs. Milecki were blessed to establish a large family of Chassidim, Shluchim, and proud Jews, with descendants spread across the globe.

She leaves behind her children, Rabbi Benzion Milecki and Mrs. Shani Aron, both of Melbourne, along with numerous grandchildren and great, and great-great-grandchildren.

The Levaya was held in Melbourne on Thursday afternoon.

Shiva and Minyanim are taking place at 22a Balaclava Rd, St. Kilda East, Victoria, with Shacharis at 8:00 AM. Mincha and Maariv TBA.
